Riding school and yard services

Picking out horses feet
Training trailer loading

Physical health is a high priority for a working yard, and farrier and veterinary visits are essential. However many horses display behavioural issues that negatively impact their use, for example picking out feet, leading to the field, tacking up, or rugging.

Services

Initial assessment

Up to 10 horses:
More than 10 horses:

£120
£170

There are 16 behaviours that I believe every working riding school horse should know. This initial assessment goes through all 16 and scores the horses from 0-5 to determine which behaviours the horse needs to improve. I will then discuss with you which horse's behaviours are a priority. I will then develop training plans that are specific not only for the horse's needs but for the yard.

Follow up

1-2 horses seen:
3-5 horses seen:

£70
£90

After an intial assessment is completed, I will schedule regular appointments with you to monitor the horses behavioural improvement, and any issues faced with the training. If the horse is improving, then we will disucss the  next training stages, while if the horse is not showing changes then we'll discuss alternative training or other potential interventions such as veterinary.
